Work With Me

The work is
practice-first.

What follows are the available conditions. Not programmes to complete, but encounters that point toward a practice — and a practice that sustains what the encounter began.

Anti-Abstractionism cannot be delivered. It can only be pointed toward. The offerings below are attempts to create the conditions in which something real might happen — in which the gap between a person and their own experience might, briefly and usefully, close.

None of these are promises. They are invitations.

Airbnb Experience Small Group Aotearoa

Grounded encounters with specific places, materials, and making. We go outside. We collect, observe, and work with what we find. We make things from the actual rather than the conceptual.

These experiences are designed as entry points — not conclusions. A morning spent finding and making pigments from the land, or an hour attending to what is actually present, is not a retreat from life. It is a return to it.

Based in Port Chalmers, Ōtepoti Dunedin. Available to individuals, small groups, and visitors to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Workshops Organisations Schools Communities

Facilitated creative groups grounded in Anti-Abstractionist practice. Work that is witnessed, embodied, and made together rather than consumed individually.

Available for schools, organisations, community groups, and NGOs. Sessions can be designed around specific contexts and needs — the through-line is always the same: direct, material, present-moment engagement with making and with each other.

This is not team-building dressed as therapy. It is something older and less managed than either.

For people who have encountered the ideas here and want to explore them in sustained, particular conversation. Attending together to what is actually present in a life, and what the practice of returning to it might look like for you. Available online to anyone, anywhere in the world.

These conversations are for people who sense that something in the Anti-Abstractionist frame names their experience, and want to find out what that means in practice.
